Before you meet
- Keep the conversation in Bazaarna messages until you have ordered.
- Ask for extra photos of anything you are unsure about.
- Agree the price, the place and the time in writing.
At the handover
- Meet in a busy public place during the day, or bring someone with you.
- Check the item before you pay cash: switch it on, try the buttons, look for damage.
- For phones, check the IMEI and that the phone is not locked to someone else's account.
Red flags
- Asked to pay before you have seen the item, outside Whish.
- A price far below what similar items sell for.
- Pressure to decide now, or a change of meeting place at the last minute.
