About 140 parents came to the school hall on a Thursday evening to talk about the question the counselling unit hears most often: how much phone time is too much?
Head of Counselling Ms Kavitha Nair led the session. These were the ideas parents asked about most.
Agree the rules together
Rules a teenager helped write are more likely to be kept. Ms Kavitha suggested a written family agreement, reviewed at the start of each term.
Phones charge outside the bedroom
A charging spot in the living room was the change parents in the room most often said had worked for them.

Talk about what they watch
"Ask what they are watching before asking how long," said Ms Kavitha. "The conversation tells you more than the timer."
Mrs Chew Mei Ling, PTA chairperson, said the PTA will run a follow-up session in January for parents of Junior 1 students.
