How we handle personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
This notice explains how Chong Zaki & Raj PLT (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”).
What we collect
When you make an enquiry, use a tool on this site, or engage us, we may collect your name, contact details, company information and any details you choose to share about your matter. We collect only what we need to respond to you and, where relevant, to run a conflict check and provide legal services.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide legal services;
- To carry out conflict-of-interest and client due-diligence checks;
- To comply with our legal, regulatory and professional obligations;
- To send you updates you have asked to receive (you can opt out at any time).
Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it to our professional advisers, to service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law, a court or a regulator.
Security & retention
We apply reasonable security measures and retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations.
Your rights
Subject to the PDPA, you may request access to or correction of your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to us at hello@czrlaw.com. We tell you plainly if a request affects our ability to act for you.
