The 2026 Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), the 52nd Senior and Junior Middle sitting set by Dong Zong’s Examination Board, is under way. The Senior Art and Graphic Design papers were held on Oct. 17 and 18. The main written papers run from Wednesday, Oct. 21 to Wednesday, Oct. 28.
At Lian Hwa, 312 Junior 3 students and 264 Senior 3 students are sitting the exams this year.
The timetable
According to Dong Zong’s official 2026 calendar, Junior Middle papers run from Oct. 21 to 24. Senior Middle papers continue to Oct. 28. Sunday, Oct. 25 is a rest day.
Results are scheduled for Dec. 30, a date Dong Zong lists as tentative. Last year’s results were released on Jan. 7, 2026.
School arrangements this week
Junior 1, Junior 2, Senior 1 and Senior 2 classes continue as normal. Candidates should arrive by 7.30am with their admission slip and identity card.
The school canteen opens at 6.45am on exam days so candidates can eat before their first paper.
How to help at home
Head of Counselling Ms Kavitha Nair suggests three things: a regular bedtime, a short walk after revision, and no new study material the night before a paper.
"Your calm is the most useful thing you can give them this week," she said.
Results day
Students will be able to check results online at Dong Zong’s results portal using their candidate number and identity card number. The paper result slip, which is used for university applications, will be collected from the school office.
