Getting you home
Bail applications
Getting someone home on bail is often the most urgent thing in a case. It is also some of the most time-critical work we do.
Bail is about risk, not guilt. The court assesses whether you will appear, and whether you pose a risk of reoffending, interfering with witnesses or endangering anyone — and it can manage those risks with conditions.
For certain serious charges, or where you are alleged to have offended while on bail, you must 'show cause' why detention is not justified. These applications reward careful, fast preparation, which is exactly what our team does at short notice.
Common bail conditions
- Reporting to a police station
- A curfew or residence condition
- Non-contact with named people
- Surrendering a passport
- A surety or deposit
