This notice explains how Teoh Danaraj & Partners (“we”, “us”, “the firm”) handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What we collect
When you enquire through this website or engage us, we collect the information you provide — your name, contact details, company, and the details of your matter — together with information generated in the course of acting for you. We do not require you to provide confidential documents to make an initial enquiry, and we ask that you do not until we have confirmed there is no conflict of interest.
How we use it
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, to carry out conflict checks, to provide legal services, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and to manage our relationship with you. We do not sell your data.
The calculators and planners on this site
The Timeline Planner and LAD Calculator run entirely in your browser. The dates and figures you enter are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers.
Disclosure
We may disclose your data to third parties where necessary to act for you — for example to the AIAC, an adjudicator, arbitrator, counsel, experts or the courts — and where required by law. We require those handling data on our behalf to protect it.
Retention and security
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our professional and legal obligations, and we take reasonable steps to keep it secure.
Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal data, or ask a question about how we handle it, by writing to counsel@teohdanaraj.my.
