Privacy policy
Osei Fortin LLP collects personal information solely to provide legal services, comply with Law Society of Ontario obligations, and administer our practice. We are governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and by solicitor–client privilege, which exceeds any statutory privacy standard.
What we collect
Information you provide in consultations, enquiry forms and retainers: identity and contact details, immigration history, and the documents your matter requires. Website analytics are aggregate and do not identify you.
How it is used and shared
To advise you, prepare and file applications with IRCC, CBSA, tribunals and courts, and communicate on your matter. We disclose information only as instructed by you, required by the file, or compelled by law. We never sell personal information.
Retention and safeguards
Client files are retained per Law Society retention rules, stored on encrypted Canadian-resident systems, and destroyed securely at end of retention. Access is limited to the lawyers and staff on your matter.
Your rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, subject to privilege and legal holds, by writing to hello@oseifortin.ca. Complaints may be directed to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
