How this estimator works — and where it stops
The estimator implements the CRS grid as published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: core human-capital points (age, education, official languages, Canadian experience), spouse factors, the skill-transferability matrix, and additional points for provincial nomination, Canadian study, French proficiency and a sibling in Canada. Job-offer points were removed from the system in March 2025 and are correctly absent here.
Two honest limitations. First, language points use your lowest band as a proxy — officers score each ability separately, so uneven test results can shift the true number a few points either way. Second, the grid can only rank facts as the regulations define them: whether your work history actually qualifies under the right NOC code, whether your credentials assess as claimed, whether category-based eligibility exists — that is legal analysis, and it is where files are won.
Bring your number to a consultation and we will tell you what it can become. Estimates here are educational, not an assessment of eligibility, and are never stored — the mathematics run entirely in your browser.
