Fees & the honest estimator
Every family matter we take starts with a written fee — fixed where the work is fixed, staged where it isn’t. Here is the full list, and a tool that adds up your situation.

Disbursements — court filing fees, process servers, commissioner for oaths, JPN tribunal costs — are charged at cost and itemised (typically RM300–RM900 for uncontested matters). Contested and syariah matters are billed by stage: you approve each stage before it begins, and you can stop at any stage.

Fee questions, answered straight
Why do you publish fees when most firms don’t?
Because fee fear keeps people in bad situations. Publishing the numbers costs us the occasional negotiation and buys every client the ability to plan — we think that trade is obviously right.
Can I pay in instalments?
Staged matters are already spread across milestones. For fixed-fee packages we can usually split payment across the stages of the matter — ask at the first consultation, not the last.
What is SST and why is it on my bill?
Service tax at 8% applies to legal services in Malaysia. We show it separately on every quote and invoice rather than hiding it in the fee.
What if my matter settles early?
Then you stop paying stages. That is the point of stage billing — and early settlement is usually our stated goal in writing.
