“Nobody plans to need a divorce lawyer. My job is to make the road shorter and calmer than you feared.”
Amelia founded the firm in 2012 after seven years in the family and probate team of a mid-size Kuala Lumpur practice, where she noticed the same thing again and again: clients did not need a warrior first. They needed someone to slow the situation down, explain the road ahead in plain language, and keep the temperature low enough for sensible decisions.
That instinct became the firm’s founding idea — court is the last resort, not the first move. Amelia is an Accredited Mediator with the Malaysian Mediation Centre and has guided several hundred couples through joint petitions, mediated settlements and, where it could not be avoided, contested proceedings before the High Court’s family division.
She writes and speaks regularly on family law — her plain-language explainers on divorce procedure have been discussed on national radio and in the mainstream press — and she still personally takes the first consultation for most new matters that come to the firm.
