Elise founded Lumara in 2009 with one conviction: that a smile should look like it belongs to the person wearing it, not like it was bought. She trained in Bristol, completed a Master’s in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the Eastman, and is one of a small number of UK dentists to hold Accredited Membership of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Her work is deliberately restrained. She would rather refuse ten veneers and place four than reshape a face that did not need it. Every case begins with a design — drawn, mocked up in the mouth, and only made permanent once you have seen it and lived with it.

Elise lectures on minimally invasive veneer preparation and mentors younger clinicians through the BACD. Outside the studio she is usually found restoring furniture, which she says is the same job with different materials.
