Composite Bonding

Bonding is dentistry as sculpture. We add tooth-coloured composite directly to the tooth and shape it by hand — closing gaps, rebuilding chips and refining edges, usually with no drilling at all.

The reversible way to change a smile

Because bonding adds material rather than removing it, it is the gentlest cosmetic option we offer. Nothing healthy is cut away, and in most cases it can be adjusted or removed entirely later. For many people it is the right first step.

Artistry in an afternoon

A single tooth can be corrected in under an hour; a full front-teeth makeover in one longer appointment. There are no impressions to send away and no temporaries to wear — you leave with the finished result the same day.

Honest about the trade-offs

Composite is not as hard or as stain-resistant as porcelain, and it typically needs a polish every so often and replacement after several years. We will tell you plainly when bonding is the smart choice and when porcelain will serve you better.

About composite bonding

Is bonding really reversible?

Largely, yes. Because we add composite to the surface rather than cutting the tooth, it can usually be adjusted or removed. That is a genuine advantage over veneers.

How long does composite bonding last?

Typically 4–7 years with care, after which it may need a polish or refresh. It stains more than porcelain, so we will talk you through coffee, red wine and smoking honestly.

Can I have bonding instead of veneers?

Often, yes — especially for smaller changes. We will always offer bonding where it can achieve what you want, because keeping your own tooth is the priority.
