All professional fees are subject to 8% SST. Disbursements — court filing fees, a sijil faraid, Land Office and Estate Distribution Unit charges, valuations, newspaper advertisements, administration-bond premiums and commissioner-for-oaths fees — are charged separately at cost. There is no estate duty in Malaysia (abolished 1991), though RPGT and stamp duty can apply on later transfers.
