Pupillage at HNP
We take six pupils each year across our three offices — deliberately few, because a pupillage here means sitting with a partner, not photocopying near one. Pupils rotate through two practice groups in nine months, attend court and client meetings from week one, and are paid RM 3,200 monthly — above the Bar’s recommended allowance.
Most of our current partners were pupils here. That is the model: we would rather grow judgment than lease it.
Associates & experienced hires
Associates run files early, appear early, and see the fee side of practice — scoping, budgeting, the client conversation — because partnership here means owning matters, not surviving hours. Rate transparency applies internally too: everyone knows how their work is billed and why.
