Solicitors’ conveyancing fees in Malaysia are fixed by the Solicitors’ Remuneration Order 2023 — so they can be computed the moment you know the price. Enter a purchase price for the full breakdown we would put in your engagement letter.

Billing, by type of matter
Conveyancing & property
Fixed by the Solicitors’ Remuneration Order 2023 scale — no discounting (prohibited) and no marking up (also prohibited). You receive the written computation, disbursements itemised, before your file opens. Loan documentation carries its own scale fee on the loan sum.
Corporate & commercial work
Scoped in writing with a fee estimate and, wherever the deliverable is definable, a cap. Time is recorded in six-minute units and every invoice itemises who did what, at what rate, for how long. Rate card available on engagement: partners RM 750–1,200/hour, associates RM 350–600/hour, by seniority.
Disputes & arbitration
Budgeted in stages — pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, hearing — with a written estimate at each gate, so the spend decision is renewed as the dispute evolves, never presumed. Where the law permits and the case suits, we will discuss partial conditional arrangements candidly.
Wills, probate & private client
Simple wills from RM 500; mirror wills for couples from RM 800. Probate and administration quoted after a first review of the estate — flat where the estate is straightforward, estimated where it is not, explained either way.
What we never do
No unexplained “miscellaneous charges”. No billing for internal supervision of juniors. No invoice that arrives as a surprise — if a matter outgrows its estimate, you hear it from the partner first, with options, before the work is done.
A note on “cheaper elsewhere”: conveyancing scale fees are identical at every Malaysian firm by law — a materially lower quote means the difference is being made up somewhere else on the file. Ask where.
