“A young person's future should not be defined by their worst day. There is almost always a path that keeps that future open.”
About James
James acts for young people in the Childrens Court and for adults facing property and public-order charges. He is a patient communicator who takes the time young clients and their families need to understand what is happening and what comes next.
He believes a young person's future should not be defined by their worst day, and he pursues diversion, restorative-justice referrals and rehabilitation wherever they are available — outcomes that keep a record clean and a future open.
For first-time adult offenders facing property or public-order charges, James brings the same approach: understand why it happened, address it properly, and give the court every reason to take the most lenient course open to it.
How James works with clients
- Explains the process in plain terms to young clients and their parents.
- Pursues diversion and restorative outcomes before anything else.
- Treats a first mistake as exactly that — not a defining one.
