Stuck at the same turnover for two years
You are working as hard as you ever have. The number at the bottom of the year is the same as last year. Something is absorbing all that effort, and it is not growth.
Plateaus are rarely about effort and almost always about capacity — usually yours. When every quote, every hire and every fire drill routes through the owner, the business grows to the edge of one person’s week and stops. More marketing will not fix that; it just queues more work behind the same bottleneck. The plateau breaks when capacity moves from the owner to the structure: priorities narrowed to three, numbers visible weekly, decisions distributed to people paid to make them.
First moves — before you spend a pound on coaching
- Work out your revenue per owner-hour with the Time-Worth Calculator — the number is usually a shock
- Kill every "priority" beyond three; a plateau is often twelve half-projects wide
- Re-score in 90 days: plateaus move when the constraint moves, not when effort rises
If you do those and the wall moves, brilliant — you may not need us. If it moves and then moves back (this is common; structure decays without rhythm), that is the moment coaching earns its fee.
