FAQ
Questions families ask us
Everything from costs and first visits to weekend hours and nervous patients. Can’t find your answer? WhatsApp us — we’re happy to help.
How much is a check-up and clean?
An adult check-up is from RM90 and a scale-and-polish from RM120; a children’s check-up is from RM60. You will always be told the cost before anything is done, and our full price list is published on the pricing page.
At what age should my child first visit the dentist?
By around their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing — “first tooth, first birthday”. Early visits are short and playful and are the best way to prevent dental fear. Under-4s get a complimentary happy visit.
I’m nervous about the dentist — can you help?
Yes. Many of our patients are nervous. Dr. Farah leads gentle care for anxious adults, and our whole team works at your pace, explains everything first, and never makes you feel rushed or judged. Tell us when you book and we will plan the visit around your comfort.
Which branch should I go to?
We have three branches — Bandar Utama, Setia Alam and Cheras — each with a kids’ zone. Use the “Find your branch” tool on our homepage to pick the nearest one, or book at whichever is most convenient; your records follow you across all three.
Do you open on weekends and evenings?
Yes. All branches open until 9pm on weekdays and until 6pm on Saturdays, and Bandar Utama and Setia Alam also open Sunday mornings — designed around working families and school schedules.
Can the whole family be seen on the same day?
That is exactly what we are built for. We can arrange back-to-back appointments so parents and children are seen in one trip, and the Family Plan makes routine visits for everyone simple and cheaper.
Do you offer payment by instalment?
Braces and clear aligners are paid in monthly instalments across treatment. Larger treatment plans can often be staged, and the Family Plan spreads routine care across the year. Ask your dentist or coordinator about the options for your plan.
Are your dentists registered?
Every dentist at Brightside is registered with the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC) and holds a valid Annual Practising Certificate. Our orthodontist and paediatric dentist are registered specialists on the National Specialist Register (NSR).
What should I bring to my first visit?
Just yourself (and your child if it is their visit) and your IC or passport. If you have recent dental X-rays or a treatment plan from another clinic, bring those too — a second opinion is always free.
Do you treat dental emergencies?
Yes. If you are in pain, have a knocked-out tooth or a broken tooth, call your nearest branch — we keep same-day slots for emergencies wherever possible and will always advise you what to do in the meantime.
Still have a question?
Message us on WhatsApp or book a visit — whatever’s easiest. We’ll always give you a straight answer.
