Dental pricing in Malaysia is oddly secretive. Most clinic websites won’t tell you what anything costs, which is exactly why people put off going. So let me be plain about it.
Routine care, in ringgit
- Check-up / examination: from RM90 for an adult, from RM60 for a child.
- Scale and polish (cleaning): from RM120.
- New-patient exam with two small X-rays: from RM160.
- A tooth-coloured filling: RM150–RM350, depending on size.
These are our published prices, and they are typical for a private clinic in the Klang Valley. What matters more than the exact figure is that you are told it before anything is done. Nobody at Brightside should ever be surprised by a bill.
Why regular check-ups are the cheapest dentistry
Here is the maths that people miss. A check-up and clean twice a year costs a few hundred ringgit. It also catches decay while it is a small filling rather than a root canal and a crown — the difference between RM250 and RM2,500. Small problems found early are cheap; the same problems found late are not. Turning up regularly is, quite literally, the cheapest thing you can do for your teeth.
When treatment costs more
Bigger work — root canals, crowns, implants, braces — costs more because it takes more skill, time and materials. What we can promise is a clear, itemised plan up front, honest advice about what you do and don’t need, and ways to spread the cost. Braces and aligners are paid monthly; larger plans can often be staged.
Ways to keep the cost down
- Come regularly. Prevention is far cheaper than repair.
- Consider the Family Plan. It bundles routine check-ups and cleans for the family and takes 10% off everything else.
- Get a second opinion. It is always free here — if another clinic has quoted you for major work, bring the plan and we will give you an honest view.
The bottom line
Good dental health is not expensive if you stay ahead of it. It becomes expensive when you wait. Publishing our prices is part of making sure cost is never the reason you avoid the care you need.
