Composite bonding
Tooth-coloured resin sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit — a reversible, lower-cost way to reshape edges and close small gaps.

What it is
Bonding uses a putty-like composite resin, shaded to match your tooth and sculpted by hand, then hardened with a light. It is the gentlest cosmetic option we offer: little to no enamel is removed, so it is largely reversible, and most cases are finished in a single appointment.
Who it suits
Bonding is ideal for chipped edges, small gaps, worn corners and minor shape changes — especially for younger patients, or anyone who wants to test a change before committing to porcelain. It is not as stain-resistant or as long-lived as a veneer, which is the honest trade-off for the lower price.
How we do it
- We agree the shape and shade together.
- The tooth surface is lightly prepared and conditioned.
- Resin is layered, sculpted and cured.
- We polish to a natural lustre and check your bite.
How long it lasts
Bonding typically lasts 4–7 years before it needs a polish or a top-up. It can chip on very hard foods and picks up stain over time, but it is straightforward and inexpensive to refresh.
Common questions
Is bonding better than veneers?
Neither is better — they solve different problems. Bonding is cheaper, faster and reversible; veneers are stronger, more stain-resistant and last far longer. We recommend whichever fits your case and budget.
