Hygiene & cleaning
The unglamorous appointment that saves you the most money and pain — a professional clean and a proper check, every six months.

What it includes
A hygiene visit removes the hardened plaque (tartar) that brushing cannot reach, polishes away surface stain, and includes a careful check for early decay and gum problems. It is the foundation of keeping your own teeth for life — and the cheapest dentistry you will ever buy.
How often
Most people do well with a clean and check every six months. If you are prone to gum problems or stain heavily from coffee or smoking, we may suggest every three to four months. We will tell you what your mouth actually needs, not sell you visits you do not.
Common questions
Is scaling bad for my teeth?
No — this is a common myth. Scaling removes harmful deposits; it does not damage enamel. Any brief sensitivity afterwards settles quickly.
