Start with the two numbers

Every employee matter on our desk starts with the same two computations: your deadline — sixty days from the effective date of dismissal for a section 20 representation, fixed in writing at the first meeting — and your number: the statutory floor if the Employment Act covers you, and the Industrial Court's conventions (backwages up to twenty-four months, one month per completed year of service) if the dismissal is challengeable. Those two numbers turn a distressing situation into a decision you can actually make.

Run them yourself first, if you like: the termination letter check reads your dismissal for red flags and computes the deadline; the severance calculator does the money. Neither replaces advice — both make your first ninety minutes with us sharper.

The clock may already be running.
