A leadership offsite built around a decision the team actually has to make, not an agenda built around the venue.
What it includes
- Confidential pre-interviews with each participant
- A designed agenda built backwards from the decision that has to be made
- Facilitation by a coach who has run the kind of business you are running
- Live capture, and a written record of decisions, owners and dates within 48 hours
- A 30-day follow-up session to check what survived contact with the calendar
The follow-up is the point
Offsites fail thirty days later, not on the day. Every Wolcott offsite includes a follow-up session a month afterwards where we read back the decisions and ask, one by one, what actually happened. It is uncomfortable exactly once.
Who it is for
- A team with one large decision and a history of not landing it in the room
- A newly formed leadership team that needs a working start rather than an introduction
- An annual planning session that everyone privately expects to waste
Who it is not for
- Team-building for its own sake. We do not do ropes courses, escape rooms or anything involving a drum.
- A day designed to ratify a decision already made. We will design the honest version or none.

Questions people ask about offsite design & facilitation
Do you find the venue?
No, but we will tell you what makes a room work: daylight, wall space, no fixed U-shape, and a door that closes.
Can you run it with our own facilitator?
Yes — we sometimes design and let an internal facilitator run it, at a reduced fee.
How far ahead do you need?
Six weeks for a designed day. We have done three, and it was a worse day.
