Terms of engagement
The commercial terms behind every Wolcott engagement, in plain language.
Engagement and fees
An engagement begins when a statement of work is countersigned. Fees are those published on our fees page on the date of signature and do not change during the engagement. Fees exclude travel outside Minneapolis and Des Moines, which is billed at cost with receipts.
Invoicing is 50% on countersignature and 50% at the mid-point, net 30. Cohort programmes invoice per participant before the first session.
Scheduling and cancellation
Sessions rescheduled with more than 48 hours’ notice are moved at no cost, twice per engagement. Beyond that, a missed session is treated as a session delivered. Wolcott will reschedule at no cost if we cancel.
Changing coach
A coachee may change coach once within the first two months at no charge and without giving a reason. Later changes are considered case by case.
Ending early
Either party may end an engagement with thirty days’ written notice. Fees are reconciled against sessions delivered, and we refund the balance. Where we recommend stopping at the mid-point, we reconcile on the same basis.
Confidentiality
Our confidentiality terms are set out at what your sponsor sees and form part of every engagement. The only disclosure exceptions are a risk of serious harm and legal compulsion.
Assessments
Psychometric instruments are administered by certified practitioners for development purposes only. They are never used to inform selection, promotion or termination decisions, and results are the property of the individual assessed.
Liability and insurance
Wolcott carries $2,000,000 professional liability and $1,000,000 general liability insurance; a certificate is available on request. Coaching is a development service and not a clinical, legal, financial or medical service. Our aggregate liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid under it.
Complaints
Complaints should go to the founding partner at hello@wolcottleadership.com and are acknowledged within two business days and answered within fifteen. Unresolved ethical complaints may be escalated to the International Coaching Federation under its Ethical Conduct Review process.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
