When a tooth has given more than it has left, a crown rebuilds it in porcelain — matched, like everything here, from our own lab bench.
When a crown, when a veneer
A veneer resurfaces a structurally sound tooth; a crown wraps and protects one that has lost too much to fillings, fracture or root canal treatment. The honest boundary between them matters, because crowning a tooth that only needed a veneer sacrifices healthy structure — and veneering one that needed a crown invites fracture. Dr Marchetti draws that line on your imaging, and shows you.
Bridges — a missing tooth carried by crowns on its neighbours — remain the right answer where an implant isn’t possible or wanted; expect from $4,800 for a three-unit bridge. Both are layered by Sofia to match the neighbours they will live beside for a decade.
Fair questions
How long does a crown last?
10–15 years typically; longer with a night guard if you grind. Our two-visit process means you are never sent home without a well-fitted temporary.
Crown or implant for a failing tooth?
If the root is saveable, a crown usually wins — your own root is better engineering than titanium. When it isn’t, an implant avoids cutting the neighbours for a bridge. We will price both routes side by side.
