How a makeover is actually planned
A smile makeover at Auvera starts with ninety minutes of records: calibrated photography in daylight, digital scans, bite analysis with Dr Marchetti, and the conversation about what you actually want — which is usually “natural, but better”, and occasionally “Hollywood”, and the plan differs radically between the two.
You receive one written master plan with every stage costed against ADA item numbers, in sequence: health first, then alignment if it reduces the porcelain count, then gum contouring, then ceramics, then whitening-matched finishing. Each stage is quoted separately so the plan flexes with your budget and calendar — nothing is bundled to hide the arithmetic.
The trial smile
Before any preparation, the proposed design is sculpted over your natural teeth in temporary resin. You wear it home. You photograph it at dinner. Your partner votes. Then we refine it — length, shade, the corner softness — and only when the trial version survives real life does porcelain get fired.
Fair questions
What does a full smile makeover cost?
Honestly: anywhere from $2,000 (whitening + bonding) to $30,000+ (full-arch porcelain with alignment). The master plan prices your case stage by stage; you approve each stage separately.
How long does it take?
A porcelain-only case: about five weeks. With alignment first: 6–14 months. The sequence is published in your plan with dates.
Can I stage it over two years?
Yes — the plan is built to pause cleanly between stages, and staged patients pay per stage, not upfront.
