Before you come
When you book we email a short history form covering medication, allergies, past problems and family history. It takes four minutes. It is optional, and filling it in gives you back about ten minutes of your appointment.
Bring a list of your medication with doses. If you have recent results from elsewhere, bring those too. Repeating a test done six weeks ago wastes your money and we will not do it without a reason.
A first appointment is 45 minutes and costs £190. Later appointments are 30 minutes at £145.
How it works
Booking an appointment
There is no registration and no joining fee. You do not have to leave your NHS practice.
Book online or call
Choose a time on our booking page, or phone reception from 07:30 on weekdays.
Fill in a short form

Come in
Thirty minutes with a GP, or forty-five for your first visit. Blood tests are taken upstairs the same day.
Get your results
A written summary the same day. Test results in about 48 hours, with a phone call if anything is abnormal.
Afterwards
You get a written summary of the appointment the same day. Results usually follow within 48 hours, and anything abnormal comes with a phone call from the doctor who reviewed it.
With your consent we write to your NHS GP. We recommend it. Your NHS record follows you for life, and a gap in it helps nobody.
Seeing the same doctor
Say so when you book and reception will keep your appointments with that clinician.
FAQs
New patients: common questions
What should I bring to a first appointment?
A list of any medication you take, including doses, and anything you already know about your family history. If you have recent test results from elsewhere, bring them — repeating tests that were done six weeks ago is a waste of your money.
Can I be seen if I am visiting Edinburgh?
Yes. A good proportion of our same-day work is visitors and people here for business. We can send a summary to your own doctor anywhere in the UK or abroad.
Will you have my NHS records?
Not automatically. You can request a copy from your NHS practice, or simply tell us the history — for most problems that is enough. With your consent we write back to your NHS GP so the flow of information goes both ways.
Can I see the same doctor every time?
Yes, if you want to. Say so when you book and reception will hold your appointments with that clinician. It does sometimes mean waiting a few extra days.
