Men's health

A 45-minute check with blood tests, blood pressure and an ECG in the same visit.

Ground floor · from £190

Men present later, and with the wrong complaint. The appointment that starts as tiredness turns out to be untreated blood pressure; the one that starts as a bad back turns out to be four units a night.

Dr Tomasz Wysocki runs this clinic. It is a long appointment with bloods taken in the same visit, and the conversation includes the things that are hard to raise — erectile problems, drinking, mood, testicular lumps, prostate symptoms.

Step by step

What happens

  1. Book a long appointment

Not a ten-minute one. Most of what matters here comes out in the second half.

  2. Tests in the same visit

Bloods, blood pressure, and where relevant an ECG — no second trip.

  3. Numbers, in context

A cardiovascular risk score, explained as a percentage over ten years rather than as "a bit high".

  4. A plan with a date

Whatever needs changing gets a review appointment attached to it.

FAQs

Men's health: common questions

Should I have a PSA test?

It is your decision and it is genuinely finely balanced. PSA can find prostate cancer early; it can also lead to biopsies and treatment for cancers that would never have harmed you. We go through the trade-off properly before testing, which is what national guidance asks us to do.

Can you help with erectile dysfunction?

Yes, and it is worth raising — it is often the first sign of vascular disease, so it changes what else we check. Treatment is straightforward in most cases.

Do you check testosterone?

Where symptoms suggest it, using a morning sample, repeated before any treatment decision. A single low reading on a random afternoon sample is not a diagnosis.
