We take blood on the first floor, six days a week, from 07:30 on weekdays so you can come before work. Samples go to an accredited laboratory by courier twice daily.
Most results are back within 48 hours. Every abnormal result is reviewed by a GP before it reaches you, and if something needs explaining you get a phone call rather than a portal notification.
You can book a panel directly without seeing a doctor first. If you would rather have someone decide which tests you actually need, book a GP appointment or use the Health Check Builder.

Fasting tests need 10 hours without food — water and black coffee are fine. We run early slots for exactly this reason.
Results in 48 hours
Sent in writing. Anything abnormal comes with a phone call from the GP who reviewed it.

FAQs
Blood tests: common questions
Do I need to fast?
For cholesterol and glucose, yes — ten hours. For most other tests, no. We tell you when you book.
Can I bring a request form from elsewhere?
Yes, if it is from a registered clinician. We charge the phlebotomy fee plus the laboratory cost of the tests requested.
Do you test children?
We take blood from children over five, with a parent present, using topical anaesthetic cream applied thirty minutes beforehand.
Are results shared with my NHS GP?
Only with your consent, and we recommend it — particularly for anything abnormal.
