Business Growth Calculator: Project What Growth Could Be Worth

Seed Light built this free growth calculator so you can see, in one screen, how your visitors turn into customers and what a year of that is worth to your business.

Answer five questions and see the yearly revenue your website carries, and what would lift it.

Step 1 of 4

Your visitors

Start with how many people land on your website in a normal month.

A rough number is fine. Check Google Analytics if you have it.

Your result

Enter your numbers and your result will appear here. The calculation runs in your browser.

Talk through your result

Book a free 15-minute call and we will help you read the numbers and decide what is worth improving first.

We record the result band you reach, not the numbers you enter.

Free to use, with no sign up. The calculation runs in your browser, so the values you enter are not sent to our server or stored.

The maths

How this calculator works

  1. 01

    Visitors become leads

Your monthly visitors multiplied by the share who get in touch. This is the step a website controls, and it is where most of the money is lost.

  2. 02

    Leads become customers

Your leads multiplied by your close rate. This step is about your sales process, your speed of reply and your pricing, not the website.

  3. 03

    Customers become revenue

Average spend multiplied by how often they buy again in a year. Repeat business is what turns a decent number into a good one.

  4. 04

    Then one point is added

The last figure shows what a single extra point of contact rate would be worth over a year, with the traffic and every later rate held exactly as they are. It is a sensitivity test, not a prediction.

A worked example

A dental clinic gets a steady flow of visitors, turns two in a hundred into calls, and closes a quarter of those. Example only. Replace these assumptions with your own numbers.

Visitors a month
1,200
Get in touch
2 in 100
Leads a month
24
Close rate
25 in 100
New customers a month
6
New customers a year
72
At 3 in 100 instead
36 leads a month, so 50 percent more
What that assumes
The same traffic, the same close rate and the same customer value

Common questions

Common questions about the calculation and how to use the result.

Use your best estimates and treat the result as a range, not a precise forecast. Replace each estimate with real data when you have it.

Google Analytics shows it under Reports, then Life cycle, then Acquisition. If you do not have Analytics installed, your hosting dashboard often shows monthly visits.

Two conversions per 100 visits can be good or poor. The result depends on the traffic source, offer, industry and action counted as a conversion. Compare the rate by page and source, then check how many conversions become customers.

Yes. Use the share of visitors who buy as the conversion rate and set the close rate to 100%, since a completed checkout is already a sale.

Because it costs nothing extra in traffic. Going from two in a hundred to three in a hundred is fifty percent more leads from exactly the same visitors, the same ad spend.
