Where we work

Penang, area by area

We work across the island and mainland. The service stays the same, but targeting, service areas and local information can be adjusted where the business genuinely serves different parts of Penang.

We also work with businesses in Gelugor, Jelutong, Tanjung Bungah, Bukit Mertajam, Seberang Jaya and Balik Pulau.

George Town, PenangHeritage and F&B
An overview of the George Town heritage core in Penang with the sea beyond

The heritage core mixes street-level trade with visitors arriving from overseas. We cover both: opening hours and a map pin, alongside photographs and a route to book.

Who we typically work with here

  • Cafes and restaurants
  • Boutique hotels
  • Galleries and shops
  • Law and accounting firms

Our office is in Relau, on the island. Get directions on Google Maps, or book a call and we will come to you.

Common problems

Why some websites fail to turn visits into action

A website can look polished and still create friction. These are five problems we check first.

A hero banner of slogans over a blurred light photograph naming no service
Reason 01

People land on the site and still cannot tell what the company does.

A close up of a menu wrapping over the logo on a phone
Reason 02

The desktop layout works, but phone users face unnecessary friction.

A veterinary page weight of 18.2 MB loaded before the page appears
Reason 03

Unneeded code and assets make important pages load far too slowly.

Three roastery pages whose edit controls are all unavailable
Reason 04

Your team cannot make routine content changes quickly on its own.

The foot of a florist page ending on an empty band
Reason 05

The website attracts visits but gives buyers no obvious next step.

Where we start

Fix the biggest problem first

We prioritise the issues most likely to affect leads, sales or wasted time instead of trying to change everything at once.

Show us what you have

What we build

What we design and build

Six types of build, picked around the job the site has to do.

A one page boutique hotel website with one offer, three benefit lines and a single button

Landing page

A single page for one offer and one action.

A wine merchant website services page showing six service cards in a grid

Business website

Your services, each explained on a page of its own.

An old boutique gym home page beside its rebuilt version, labelled before and after

Website redesign

A fresh build for a site that is holding you back.

A four step performance cycling campaign path from advert to page to form to follow up email

Sales funnel

A campaign path from first click to follow-up.

A furniture maker online shop page showing six products with photographs and prices

Online store

A catalogue with checkout, delivery and order emails.

A booking screen on a dance studio website with days, time slots and a confirm button

Custom features

Booking, member areas and links to your systems.

What matters

What makes a website win customers

01First impression

Present your company with greater credibility

The first screen sets expectations for everything that follows. We make the service, audience and next step immediately clear so the website supports the credibility of the business rather than weakening it.

Clear opening line

Explain what you do from the start.

Phone-first layout

Shape the layout around smaller screens.

Fast initial view

Load the main message without delay.

Buyer-led layout

Guide visitors through the right sequence.

02Customer confidence

Give customers more confidence to enquire

A good website reduces uncertainty before the first conversation. We address the questions, objections and information customers commonly look for so the enquiry feels like a natural next step.

Buyer research

Map what customers need before they act.

Copy shaped with you

Build the message into the design process.

Original site design

Avoid generic sections and theme filler.

Ownership stays yours

Keep the website under business control.

03Search visibility

Get found by more potential customers

Customers cannot choose a business they never find. We prepare the website for search during development, covering page structure, metadata, crawlability and relevant on-page signals before it goes live.

SEO foundations

Organise pages for search from launch.

Phone performance

Test important pages on real phones.

Keyword-focused pages

Build around what customers actually seek.

Search schema

Add structured data where it applies.

04Connected delivery

Bring design and development under one team

Website problems often appear where design ends and development begins. A single team owns both sides, so important details do not disappear between separate suppliers.

Design and build together

Remove the handoff between suppliers.

Built-in custom features

Create tools around how the site works.

No builder lock-in

Straight answers

Common questions

Straight answers to the questions businesses ask us most about web design.

Yes. We are based in Penang, so a face to face session for the kickoff or the handover is easy to arrange on the island or across in Butterworth. Everything else runs on shared project files and scheduled calls, which keeps the record of every decision in one place.

The structure of the site decides that. Where both sides of the water are genuinely served, each gets its own page with its own content instead of a list of place names on the contact page. We agree which places belong on the site before design starts.

Sometimes. We look at how it is built, how it performs and whether the pages match what people search for. If it can be improved without a rebuild we say so, and the review costs the same either way. Where it is worth keeping, a website redesign is the smaller project, and it has its own Penang page.

The scope decides it: page count, whether the design is custom or built on a template, whether the site sells online, who writes the copy and supplies the photography, and which systems it must connect to. We settle those on a call, then send an itemised quote. Our pricing page explains how each factor moves the figure.

Two to three weeks for a business site once the content is ready, and longer where a store or custom feature is involved. Photographs and sign-off are the parts that slip, so we agree those dates during the scope call and follow them up.

Yes. Seberang Perai and Butterworth clients get the same process as anyone in George Town or Bayan Lepas, and meetings there are straightforward. Where a business genuinely serves both sides, the site is structured so each area has real content of its own.

We plan the structure, the headings and the key messages as part of the project, and full page by page copywriting can be added when you would rather we handled all the writing. Either way you read and approve every page before it goes live.

Yes. It is built so ordinary edits such as text, images, opening hours and a new service page can be done by your team. You get a live walkthrough and a recording of it. Anything structural we are happy to do for you.

Hosting is set up in your name, and where a site is being replaced we move it across so email keeps working through the change. Both the domain and the hosting account stay yours, with the logins handed to you at launch.

Thirty days of fixes. Anything that behaves differently once real visitors arrive is corrected in that window without a charge. After that a care plan covers updates and backups, or you can leave the site alone and call us when you need something.

Yes. We are in Relau, near Bayan Lepas, and we have worked with Penang businesses since 2017. You can meet us, and most projects still run on calls and shared files because that is faster for both sides.
