Local SEO Checker: Audit the Signals That Affect Local Rankings

Seed Light built this free local SEO checker to read the local signals on your website, the listing details in your code, your address, phone number, map and hours, then show what to fix.

Check a page for the business details, structured data, hours and map links local search uses.

The report covers signals we can inspect on the page. It does not calculate or guarantee your Google Maps ranking.

Free to use, with no sign up. The address and result may stay in our server cache for up to ten minutes.

The method

What the checker looks at

  1. 01

We fetch the page you enter

We inspect the HTML and business information available to this checker. Search engines may process pages differently, particularly when JavaScript is involved.

  2. 02

It looks for listing details in the code

Your name, address, phone number, hours, map position and the profiles you link. These sit in the page code where a search engine reads them directly rather than guessing.

  3. 03

It checks what a customer can see

A street address in the words on the page, a phone number that a phone can tap, opening hours, and a map or a link to your listing.

  4. 04

We add Google listing data where we can match it

If a public Google Business Profile can be matched confidently, the report may add public information such as category, review count, hours and photo count. If it cannot, the report remains website-only and says so.

Common questions

Common questions about what this check can and cannot tell you.

Your website is a property you control. Google Business Profile is a separate listing that can appear in Google Search and Maps.

Structured data gives search engines an explicit machine-readable description of information already visible on the page: your name, address, phone number.

Yes, and it is one of the cheapest wins in local search. Your address on your website, on your Google listing and in each directory should read word for word the same.

A home-based business should hide its street address when customers do not visit that location. List the real service areas instead, and keep the same public business details across the website and relevant listings.

Run it after any change to your website, and once a quarter otherwise. Website updates quietly drop things: a new theme can strip the listing details out of the code.
