Open role
SearchAlso advertised as: Technical SEO engineer, SEO developer, Site health specialist
You find the technical reasons a site is not ranking, then fix them or write the ticket that does. The role is remote, worked from anywhere in Malaysia, with the option of time in the Pulau Pinang studio. Apply with the form on this page, and you get an answer either way.
About the role
This is the deep end of search. Crawl budget, indexing, rendering, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects and migrations, across every site the studio runs.
The difference between this role and an audit tool is what happens next. You do not hand over a list of 400 warnings. You work out which three problems are costing traffic, fix them, and prove the fix worked.
The licences and subscriptions the job needs are paid for. Knowing every one of these already is not expected.
The work
The first three months
Written down so the job is concrete before you apply, and so there is something to measure the first quarter against.
A full technical audit of three client sites, ending in a prioritised list per site.
You ship the fixes on those sites and measure what moved.
You set the technical standard every new build is checked against before launch.
Hiring
Four steps, two weeks end to end, and an answer either way.
Fill in the form with your CV and three things you have worked on, with one line each on what you did.
How you work, what you have shipped, and what you want to be doing next year.
A small real brief, so we both see what working together is like. We pay for it.
Yes or no, with a reason either way.
Straight answers
The things people ask before applying. If yours is not here, put it in the message box on the form.
Attach your CV and tell us three things you have worked on. Every application gets an answer.
